About ECMI
Who we are
ECMI conducts in-depth research aimed at informing the debate and policy-making process on a broad range of issues relevant to capital markets. Through its various activities, ECMI provides a forum for debate among market participants, policymakers and academics. ECMI is managed and staffed by the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels.
What we do
ECMI produces various outputs, such as regular commentaries, policy briefs, working papers, statistics, task forces, conferences, workshops and seminars. In addition, ECMI undertakes studies commissioned by the EU institutions and other organisations, and publishes contributions from high-profile external researchers.

Our members
The membership of ECMI is open to private companies/organisations, regulatory authorities and academic institutions. The diversity of the membership base and the governance model are the best guarantee of ECMI’s independence as a research institute.
