State Street Global Markets is the investment research and trading arm of State Street Corporation. For more than a decade, they have pursued a distinctive research agenda through their partnership with leading academics at State Street Associates, including ECMI.

ECMI participates in the closed roundtable meeting (by invitation only) with Patrick Pearson (Head of Unit Market Infrastructure, European Commission).

MiFID Review Conference, Luxembourg, 30 September

The Commission is due to review the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), and come forward with any new legislative proposals in the first quarter of next year.

Following a very successful 2009 conference focused on the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive, which attracted over 400 delegates, the UK FSA’s Asset Management Sector Team will host a range of experts who will explore the wider regulatory outlook for asset managers.

The 3rd Annual China IPO Summit 2010, as China’s premier networking and information exchange platform specializing in IPO, will be gathering over 150 top professionals from global IPO and corporate finance fraternity including potential issuers, regulators, stock exchanges, investment banks, accounting firms, legal firms, VC/PEs, investor relations firms, PR consultancy and financial printers, etc.

After one year of the entry into force of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), the Commission organised a conference on November 13, 2008 in Brussels, Belgium.

The Commission (DG Internal Market and Services) organised a conference on the Market Abuse Directive (MAD) held in Brussels on 12 November 2008. The conference brought together senior policy makers, regulators, industry experts and academia to discuss the review of MAD.
